March Guild Meeting

March Guild Meeting will be in-person only at Calvary United Methodist Church, 16 Ridge Place, Latham.

7-7:30 is social time along with the practical lesson. March’s practical: Hand hemming is a technique that gives a professional finish to most any item. Carol Hammer will demonstrate hand hemming her hand towels. Learn about matching and easing in to finish that perfect hand towel!

Scrap exchange! Hopefully you had an opportunity to view the presentation in February by Daryl Lancaster on using your leftovers. It was full of ideas for you to try. But maybe you have “lost that loving feeling" for some of your scraps and are looking for different scraps (thank you Righteous Brothers!). In March we will have a scrap exchange. Please gather your useable scrap pieces in a clear one gallon bag weighing at least 4 ounces and trade scraps with your fellow weavers. This will add a challenge to your use of left-over material. You may even be inspired to produce some small goods for the Show & Sale! And our fellow weavers produce such luscious fabrics.

Program starts promptly at 7:30. March program: Claire Maziarczyk discusses pastepapers. Claire has been creating pastepapers since 1982 and is currently being celebrated in a show at the Grolier Club in NYC.
