7-7:30 social time and “practical” on making choke ties with Connie LaPorta. Program starts promptly at 7:30. November program is Weaving Bobbin Lace, a hands-on program with Lorraine Weiss and Nicole Bouchez. What it is, how to make and even providing you with the opportunity to try your hand at weaving bobbin lace! Bobbin lace is a traditional lace making technique with a wide range of styles and designs. It requires working on top of a paper pattern with many small spools (bobbins) of thread and pins that you work with to form delicate lace. It can provide wonderful embellishments to your weaving project or as a stand alone product. It should be a fun program.
